Smart Controllers & Water-Efficient Irrigation
A controller set in May and never touched again waters the same way in a dry August as in a rainy September. Smart controllers adjust for the weather so you don't have to.
What a smart controller does
Wi-Fi controllers use local weather data to skip watering after rain and lengthen or shorten run times as temperatures change. You can check, pause or run a zone from your phone, which is handy for rental properties, game-day homes and lake houses you aren't at every week.
Other ways to cut wasted water
- Rain and freeze sensors shut the system off when it's raining or near freezing.
- Drip irrigation for shrub beds and foundation plantings puts water at the roots instead of on mulch and siding.
- Matched-precipitation nozzles so every head in a zone puts down the same amount of water.
- Cycle-and-soak scheduling for clay soil, so water soaks in instead of running into the street.
- Pressure regulation to stop misting and fogging from heads running at too high a pressure.

Upgrading an existing system
Most existing systems can take a smart controller without other changes. We wire it, connect it to your Wi-Fi, set up each zone for its plant type and sun exposure, and show you the app. We install Hunter and Rain Bird controllers, and we specialize in smart Wi-Fi models you can run from your phone.
Planning a new system? We'll include a smart controller in the design. If zones aren't working right now, start with irrigation repair.
Start with an inspection or a service call
Sprinkler problems? Book an irrigation inspection and we'll run the system and give you a breakdown of necessary repairs. Repairs, new systems, commercial properties or lighting? Request a service call and we'll assess the job on site. Inspections and service calls carry a fee.
